The Venus chair was first designed by Hans Wegner for Fritz Hansen in 1948, but production ceased by 1950. In 2015 it was re-introduced by Getama in its original form with a walnut seat and back with oak legs.

      Product description

It is now also available in an all oak version and several finishes. Most recently available with an upholstered seat in fabric or leather for a softer, more comfortable look and feel.

The chair illustrates Wegner's fascination with bentwood with its curved seat and back shells on top of the simple yet elegant base making it surprisingly comfortable.  The design was regarded experimental when it was first released but in today's design climate it fits right into any modern interior.

Available Oiled, Lacquered or in the following stain colors: White, Black, Teak, Cherry, Mahogany and Rosewood.

25.6" wide by 24.8" deep by 27.6" high

      Seat height 14.5"
